Restaurant Write-Up
Michael and Meiling immigrated from Taiwan to South Africa in 1987. They took over the restaurant from the Forlee’s who coincidently had the same Chinese Family Name – 謝 – as depicted on our logo today. The menu was numbered as a solution to better understand what the customers wanted due to the language barrier. This is the same reason why we request telephone numbers instead of names as reference when a telephonic order is placed. In 2018, doting son, John-Michael takes over, introducing a fresh new look to the family business. Keeping the same core values of the business that has kept us operational for over 30 years!
